What is Diathermy?
Diathermy is a safe, comfortable and highly effective procedure that offers an affordable alternative to other treatment methods. It’s available at Beauty at Ab Fab and performed by an experienced and trained professional, using our Sterex Epilator & Diathermy machine.
How does Diathermy work?
By applying a small current just underneath the skin surface by tapping a very fine needle along the affected area, Diathermy works to remove thread veins and skin tags. A single-use, sterile, disposable needle is provided for each diathermy treatment.
Does Diathermy hurt?
Whilst it shouldn’t be painful, sometimes it can be uncomfortable and the area may remain red for several hours.
How many Diathermy treatments do I need?
Typically, 3 - 6 treatments are required to clear facial veins but even after one treatment of diathermy there should be a noticeable difference.
